Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Zviad Gabisonia and Acting Director of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Lasha Margishvili participated in a study visit to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project - "Promoting Quality Digital Education in Georgia (PRODIGE)".
As part of the visit, workshops were held at the Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), where participants were introduced to the university's e-learning process, digital infrastructure, and TalTech's special artificial intelligence platform. This platform promotes the introduction of artificial intelligence at the university, its ethical use, and the development of high-quality research.
Workshops were also held with representatives of the Estonian Quality Assurance Agency (HAKA), the University of Applied Sciences (TTK UAS), the E-Estonia Information Center, and the Estonian Business School (EBS).
The workshops were attended by representatives of the Estonian Education and Youth Council, the Information Technology Academy (IT Academy), and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), as well as the Acting Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Estonia, Mr. Irakli Gigauri.
The Center has been participating in the PRODIGE project as a partner since 2026. This project focuses on developing digital education policies and establishing quality assurance mechanisms that will be in line with shared European standards.
The study visit was attended by staff members of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Planning, Research and International Relations, and Higher Education Quality Assurance Departments. Also, representatives of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.
