Organized by the Qualifications Development Department of LEPL - National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE), on October 29, 2026, the 8th quarterly meeting with international experts was held within the framework of the Erasmus+-funded project "Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Georgian National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Referencing and Self-Certifications Processes (GEOREF)".  

The main objective of the meeting was to review the final documentation package of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework Referencing and Self-Certification Report for submission to the EQF Advisory Group (EQF AG), alongside the Joint Opinion Letter of the international experts (Baiba Ramiņa and Chiara Finocchietti). During the meeting, the participants also discussed procedural aspects regarding the official Statement of Acceptance by the competent quality assurance body to ensure full alignment with European criteria.  

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement launched this project to achieve harmonization with European qualifications frameworks. The project aims to align and establish the compatibility of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework with the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL) and the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA).  

The activities implemented within the project support the alignment of Georgia’s national qualifications system with the European educational area and enhance the international transparency, compatibility, and recognition of qualifications awarded in Georgia.
