Organized by the Qualifications Development Service of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, a working group meeting was held on August 4 within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Capacity to Implement the Referencing and Self-Certification Processes of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework (GEOREF).”

The main objective of the meeting was to review the latest version of the draft Referencing and Self-Certification Report of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework and further refine the document.

During the meeting, the participants discussed comments and observations provided by members of the working group and other participants regarding the draft report, as well as feedback received from the project’s international experts.

Particular attention was paid to the accuracy of the factual and legal information reflected in the report, its substantive completeness and structural consistency, as well as the updating of statistical data and ensuring terminological and editorial accuracy.

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement launched the project with the aim of harmonizing the Georgian National Qualifications Framework with the European qualifications frameworks. This involves the referencing and self-certification of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework to the European meta-frameworks (EQF-LLL and QF-EHEA). The project aims to harmonize the Georgian National Qualifications Framework with the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL) and the Qualifications Framework for the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA).
