The Center Received an Official Letter of Appreciation from the ENQA President

In 2022, by the decision of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) was selected and given priority among many other countries to host the annual international forum of ENQA members in 2023.  

 

Heads of 55 Quality Assurance Agencies from 32 European countries, employees of the agencies, heads and representatives of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education - EQAR, European University Association, European Students' Association, Bologna process working group participated in the forum. At the annual international forum of ENQA, the participants discussed current issues and trends related to higher education policy and quality assurance issues in the European area.  110 participants attended the forum.

 

On 11 May 2023, the Center received an official letter of appreciation from ENQA's President, Douglas Blackstock, thanking the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and each of its staff member for organizing the forum at a high level. The letter mentions that the forum, both in terms of logistics and creativity, was excellently planned and conducted. Personally, the president of ENQA and every participant of the forum was impressed by the professionalism and attitude of the Center's employees towards the work. The letter of thanks also mentions the effective communication of the Center's staff with the ENQA secretariat and the forum participants.

 

On April 25, 2019, by the decision of the ENQA, the NCEQE was granted the status of a full member of ENQA for a period of 5 years. 

 

According to ENQA experts, the existing authorization and accreditation standards and procedures in Georgia, as well as the activities of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, are in full compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015). 

 

Having the status of a full member of ENQA for the Center means that the higher education institutions and educational programmes operating in Georgia are evaluated according to the standards, procedures and approaches by which the universities and educational programmes operating in Europe are evaluated.
