The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR)

On Jun 27, 2019, the National Center for the Educational Quality Enhancement was registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) https://www.eqar.eu/register/agencies/agency/?id=59. Before registering in EQAR, in 2019 National Center for the Education Quality Enhancement received a positive assessment and a full membership status of the ENQA.

EQAR is a European public advocacy organization co-funded by European governments and stakeholders that promotes transparency and confidence building in higher education, as well as the recognition of education in the European Higher Education Area.

By the decision of the EQAR Register Committee, adopted on 22 September 2026, the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia has renewed its registration in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

The decision was informed by the outcomes of a focused review conducted by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). Within the framework of this review, ENQA’s international experts undertook a comprehensive and in-depth examination of the significant reforms and developments introduced in the field of higher education quality assurance during 2024 - 2025.
